Case studies
Three customer integrations told the way we would tell them to an auditor. Anonymised but specific — real volumes, named TMS platforms, before/after numbers, and the parts that did not go to plan. We are sales-shy on testimonials and details we do not yet have permission to publish under a brand name, but the operational shape of each story is exactly what we lived.
If you are evaluating EcoFreight against other tools, see how we compare with Climatiq, Pledge, and Lune, or read the broader freight emissions API comparison on the blog.

From eight years of quarterly Excel to per-shipment API in one quarter
A road-and-ocean 3PL ran eight years of DEFRA 2019 rollups in a spreadsheet. We worked with their operations team to plug the EcoFreight API into Blue Yonder TMS and surface WTW emissions on every shipment. The Excel did not retire overnight; it took two quarters of dual running, and we walk through why.
Outcome: 8-10 week reporting lag down to real-time; first CSRD-ready Scope 3 Cat 4 submission; +7 shippers won in 2026 RFP cycles citing the per-shipment carbon line.

CBAM-ready transport emissions on every commercial invoice in Q1 2026
When CBAM widened in January 2026 to cover cement and steel components inside finished goods, our customer suddenly needed transport-leg CO2 numbers on every shipment to their EU importers. We embedded the EcoFreight API inside their shipping platform so emissions auto-attach to commercial invoices. Customs broker integration is still manual — that is the Q3 work.
Outcome: Zero CBAM filing delays through the first quarter of the definitive period; ~EUR 280k modelled annual savings vs the default-factor penalty; quote-to-ship cycle held at five days.

Won the next six RFPs that asked for a per-shipment carbon line
In 2024 our customer lost three out of four RFPs that required per-shipment carbon. We integrated EcoFreight into their quote engine to attach emissions inside the existing 24-hour SLA. The wins followed, but the ROI is hard to attribute cleanly because the carbon line landed alongside a wider quote-tooling rebuild.
Outcome: After losing three of four 2024 RFPs that required per-shipment carbon, the forwarder won six in a row in 2025 H2 - 2026 H1. Quote conversion lifted 12% on quotes that included the carbon line.
