For forwarders & 3PLs

Freight emissions API for forwarders and 3PLs

Forwarders need carbon numbers on every quote line item. Spot rates expire in 24 hours; the CO2 attached has to be just as responsive — generated fresh, with the methodology cited, on every fetch.

That's what we built EcoFreight for. One REST call, results back under 50 ms, GLEC Framework v3.2 factors with the ISO 14083 data quality tier disclosed on every response. You drop it into your TMS, your shipper portal, or your BOL template, and the number is just there next to the rate.

What we plug into

You don't change your stack to use EcoFreight. We sit behind whatever you already have — your TMS, your shipper portal, your EDI pipeline.

Cargowise

Quote-line CO2 attached at booking; results stored against the shipment record.

SAP TM

Embed via the Freight Order BAdI — calls the calculate endpoint mid-stage.

Oracle TMS

Custom action on Trade Compliance screens; writes results back to the shipment.

Blue Yonder

Workflow trigger after rate quote generation; CO2 appears next to surcharge lines.

Shipper portals

Drop-in JS snippet or server-side call — same response shape as our public API.

EDI / generic REST

For carriers who exchange data via EDI 204/214 or a private API — wrap a single call.

What a shipper-facing quote line looks like

The shipper sees a single row. They see the kilograms, the methodology, and a tier they can hand to their auditor. That's it. No PDF attachments, no separate report.

Where you can already win RFPs

Three RFP requirement patterns we see show up over and over. If your tender response has these covered, you're playing on the same field as the big-name forwarders pitching sustainability desks.

CDP-aligned Scope 3 reporting

CDP supply-chain respondents now ask their forwarders for per-shipment emissions data with methodology disclosure. A line that reads "WTW kg CO2e, GLEC v3.2, ISO 14083 Tier 2" satisfies that ask out of the box.

FuelEU pool exposure

Ocean carriers pool FuelEU compliance with their forwarders. When a shipper RFPs, they often want to see how exposed your booked fleet is. Tier-disclosed emissions per voyage are the rawest input to that conversation.

CSRD-bound shipper assurance

EU-domiciled shippers fall under CSRD and need assured Scope 3 numbers. Their auditors check the methodology your forwarder used. Sending them GLEC v3.2 / ISO 14083 references on every shipment removes a back-and-forth.

Pricing for the forwarder use case

Start free

1,000 calculations per month, no credit card. Good for a pilot with one trade lane or one shipper account. Same methodology references, same response shape as production.

  • All modes — ocean, road, rail, air, short-sea, inland waterways
  • GLEC v3.2 default factors, ISO 14083 tier disclosure

Production volume

Forwarders running hundreds of thousands of shipments a year need a contract. Talk to us — pricing scales with calls and includes SLAs, dedicated capacity, and a named contact for procurement and security reviews.

  • Volume tiers from 50k to 5M+ calls / month
  • Uptime SLA, p95 latency commitments
  • Security questionnaire and SOC 2 support
